Move-Out Coordinator Job Description

Department and Position Description

Housing and Conference Services is responsible for providing a safe, secure and pleasant residence move-out experience for both students and parents. During the month of April, H&CS prepares for 3600 students to move out of residence within a 7 day period. The Residence Move-Out Coordinator will support the planning, coordination and implementation of the residence move-out process.


Accountabilities

Under close supervision, assist with the planning, organization, and implementation of various projects and events for a Department or Faculty. Work is performed in accordance with established guidelines.

  • Provide administrative support for projects, events and meetings.
  • Respond or redirect general inquiries in-person, by telephone or via email.
  • Update information regarding projects and events on various communication channels.
  • Provide on-site routine support for projects, events and meetings.
  • Collect, update and maintain files, correspondence and records according to established guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 6 months of related experience.

Assets

  • Demonstrated responsibility and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated responsibility in advisor, resource, and support capacities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment, is self-motivated and takes initiative.
  • Must possess an Ontario G Class License.
  • Previous Move-In and/or Move-Out Traffic Assistant or Coordinator experience is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of McMaster Residence is considered an asset.

Additional Information

  • Must be able to work flexible hours and attend pre-service meetings.
  • Mandatory 1.5 hour training session will be held on Wednesday April 10th 2019.
  • Must remain in residence until April 30th 2019; if applicable.
  • This position includes both indoor and outdoor working environments.
