Living At McMaster

Residence Academic Centres

One of the great benefits of living in residence is access to our Residence Academic Centres. Stop by Sunday to Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m to 10 p.m for free help with math, science and writing.

Residence Academic Centres (RACs) provide free help with math, science, and writing exclusively for residence and Mac/One students.

Located in residence buildings in both quads, RACs are a drop-in learning commons that also provides a quiet, supportive workspace to learn with peers or get help from a Residence Academic Support Assistant (RASA). These student staff are upper-year or graduate students who are trained to understand the unique challenges and stresses of first-year – they are here to help!

Residence Academic Centres are available in Mary E. Keyes Residence Room 111 (West Quad) and Les Prince Hall Room 119 (North Quad).

RACs run Sunday to Thursday from 6:30 p.m – 10:00 p.m weekly.
