FAQ – Lincoln Alexander Hall

No. While there are pods, all bed spaces are private.

Lincoln Alexander Hall offers many exciting amenities, including:

• Communal spaces on every floor
• On-site dining facilities
• Indoor basketball court
• Two fitness centres
• Communal kitchens on every floor

A pod consists of multiple private bedrooms with a shared common space and bathroom(s), designed to foster smaller communities within the residence.

Lincoln Alexander Hall operates under a 12-month residence agreement. To celebrate the opening year of LAH, however, students will receive a 12-month residence agreement for the same price of eight months, to allow more time to enjoy the campus and Hamilton living. Signing this agreement during the room selection process, however, does not mean that you must live in the building but is designed to make the room selection process more efficient.

Students’ residence fees will be charged to the student’s Mosaic Student Account. These fees are divided into two equal installments:

• Fall Term Payment: September 25
• Winter Term Payment: January 25

This approach supports the delivery of new student housing while providing added flexibility for students who may remain in Hamilton during the summer months.

Students living in Lincoln Alexander Hall are required to have a meal plan.

• Students in Pods must choose a Traditional meal plan.
• Students in Pod Suites can choose either a Traditional meal plan or an Apartment-Style (Apt) meal plan, depending on their preference.

Remaining spaces will be selected by other students or assigned by Housing and Conference Services based on availability.

Accommodation requests must include appropriate supporting documentation and are reviewed by Housing & Conference Services. Approval is not guaranteed and depends on demonstrated need and availability.

Requests will only be considered after all other steps, including roommate mediation, have been exhausted and must demonstrate a clear need. Approval is not guaranteed and depends on availability.

Where a room change request is approved by Housing & Conference Services staff, students will be offered another space within Lincoln Alexander Hall only.
