What Makes Your Community? Change Makers is for students who want to drive positive change in their community (e.g. reducing poverty, increasing community health, and supporting youth). You will build skills associated with social resiliency while working towards creating awareness and organizing support for various community initiatives. Students in this community will further McMaster’s commitment to support the United Way of Halton & Hamilton.

Students in the Change Makers community will meet McMaster faculty members and community experts from a variety of disciplines and discuss skill-building practices essential for effective community engagement.
Events for this community include faculty and community expert visits, trending topic panels, skills-based workshops, and service learning opportunities. Change Makers students will have a number of opportunities to participate in the academic and social aspects of the university and the surrounding community.
