Residence Life Staff Programming
Programming makes residence more than just a place to eat, sleep and study. Programs give you a chance to socialize and meet new people, to achieve your academic potential, to have new experiences, to learn about yourself and the greater communities around you, gain new skills not taught in the classroom; to be exposed to issues of diversity and acceptance, to grow personally and to have fun! The Residence Life Staff in your building will organize many great events – all you need to do is participate!
How to Ace First Year:
“How to Ace First Year” is an interactive program that shows students what to expect in their classes and how to prepare for their first University midterms.
Community Advisors also offer Downtown tours which introduce students to the resources and activities available in the Hamilton community. Students find out how to navigate the HSR (bus routes), and how to get to various places like the mall, Art Gallery, Farmer’s Market & Waterfront.
Ski & Snowboard Trips:
Each year many residences offers ski/snowboard trips with some even opting for snow tubing! This is a fun way to get off campus and stay active in the winter months. Past trips have been to Blue Mountain, Glen Eden and Horseshoe Resort.
Monthly socials are planned inside residence as well as off campus with Lazer Tag trips, talent shows and movie night
