Academic Classrooms and Lecture Halls
Please allow for at least 10 days to have your space request approved. Requests are submitted through Conference & Event Services and then approved by the Registrar’s scheduling team only after all academic classes, testing, exams, and other academic requests have been finalized. As a result of this, there may be extended delays in receiving approval for your space.

Audio Visual
Most rooms have a built in Audio Visual system that will require a code to gain access. Please reach out to Classroom Audio Visual prior to your event to obtain this code. They can be reached at equipbkg@mcmaster.ca or 905-525-9140 x 22761.
Set-Up
Rooms are to remain in their standard classroom/lecture hall setup. If you move tables/chairs to accommodate your function it is expected that they be returned to their original placement prior to departing from your event.
If extra tables, chairs, waste receptacles, etc. are required for your event, a work order must be placed to Facility Services and your group will be invoiced for the amount owing. Please submit a valid 10-digit legacy account number to process the work order.
If you do not have access to an account, please contact Conference & Event Services to arrange for payment.
Food
Food and beverage is not allowed within the classroom/lecture hall setting. If you require food and beverage for your meeting/event, please determine a location outside of the classroom where tables can be set-up to accommodate without disruptions to traffic flow. Catering must be arranged through Hospitality Services. Please contact catering@mcmaster.ca or 905-525-9140 X24836.
Keys
All space approved by the Registrar’s scheduling department will be open for you at the time of your event. Therefore, you will not require a key to gain access.
