The Office Support Assistant will assist the Financial team in Housing and Conference services perform a variety of financial transactions and clerical duties.
Accountabilities:
- Schedule meetings, room bookings and appointments.
- Greet visitors, answer routine inquiries in person, by telephone or e-mail. Escalate non-routine inquires to appropriate personnel.
- Process payments and journal entries according to established guidelines.
- Run reports and perform standard analyses according to established guidelines.
- Update and maintain files, correspondence and records according to established guidelines.
- Verify and review a variety of files, records and documentation according to established guidelines.
- Assist with mailings and ordering of supplies and office materials.
- Copy, collate and assemble a variety of documents and packages for review.
- Provide administrative support for events and meetings.
- Perform other secretarial and clerical duties of a similar nature, as required.
Qualifications:
- Full time McMaster student
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months related experience in a customer service environment
Additional info:
- The Office Support Assistant generally works Monday- Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
- Additional hours outside of normal hours may be needed. For example: Move in weekend support.
- Note that due to operational needs vacation requests will not be permitted during the timeframe of July 7- August 10
