Off-Campus Orientation Representatives

Off-Campus Orientation Representatives are charged with helping to create a welcoming environment for off-campus first-year students and to assist with the implementation of Summer Orientation and Welcome Week Programming. These reps need to demonstrate proven leadership ability, excellent organizational and communication skills, problem-solving, and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Information about Rep Fees:

All new off-campus reps will have to pay for their rep suit; the cost of a suit is approximately $60.  If the team decides to use rep t-shirts/jerseys, this will be an additional cost for all reps.

Application Instructions (Step 1):

Please send your resume and cover letter to: ocrcplan@mcmaster.ca

In your cover letter, please answer these questions:

  1. Have you ever served as a rep before – for SOCS or some other campus group?
  2. Outline any leadership roles you have served in.
  3. Outline any clubs or interest groups that you are involved in on campus.

Application Instructions (Step 2):

Those who are selected to continue to the next stage of the selection process will be notified by email.  Those candidates will then be given instructions to complete an online interview, with specific questions to address.  Watch your email!
