COVID Vaccination Policy
McMaster University has announced a Mandatory Vaccine policy for students, staff, and visitors attending a McMaster campus or facility. More details can be found here.
- A visitor refers to anyone who goes inside a building at a McMaster location for a consecutive 15-minute period or for a total period of at least one hour during a 24-hour period.
- A member of the public refers to anyone coming to a McMaster location without a MacID and staying outside only, or only coming into a building for less than 15 minutes.
- Members of the public must follow all other local Public Health guidelines and McMaster health and safety measures while attending a McMaster location.
- Individuals must not attend a McMaster location if they have symptoms of COVID-19 or are otherwise unable to successfully complete the provincial government’s COVID-19 self assessment.
- Members of the public do not need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to be outdoors on campus.

Film & TV Locations
McMaster’s scenic campus is a sought-after setting for television and film shoots from May to August. Our manicured grounds, wide array of buildings and athletic facilities along with on-site crew accommodation make for a convenient, budget-friendly choice. Our experienced team and beautiful campus will make our location a great choice for your next production.

Photography
We welcome the opportunity to provide the perfect backdrop for your outdoor photography needs. Our beautiful campus offers many picturesque locations to take advantage of throughout the seasons. Some items to consider for your on-campus photography:
- A non-refundable fee of $133.00 is required to secure your permit.
- The permit is valid from 9 am to 9 pm on the requested date.
- Our permit allows access to the outdoor areas of campus, excluding the Athletic fields. We do not allow for any indoor photography.
- Throughout the year, certain University-wide events such as Move-In Weekend, Homecoming, Fall Preview Days, etc., will cause access to certain areas on campus to be restricted and unavailable. If your request conflicts with any of these events, we will notify you via email. Please see “Unavailable Photography Permit Dates” below for a current list of dates, subject to change.
- The use or presence of alcoholic beverages or intoxicating substances is prohibited.
- The applicant is responsible for the conduct and supervision of all persons in their party. The applicant is also responsible for any damages caused by members of their party to any plant material, building, structure, equipment or other property of McMaster University.
- University parking rates and regulations will apply.

Unavailable Photography Permit Dates
Permits bookings are now open until October 28, 2022, and more 2022 dates will be added by September 2022. The following dates are unavailable due to University-wide events and subject to change:
- APRIL 26-30
- MAY 13-15
- JUNE 11-12
- AUGUST 26 to SEPT 7
