Poster Policy & Residence Information Screens

In an effort to keep the environment in mind and to contribute to McMaster’s ongoing quest for Sustainability, all posters will be shown through our Residence Information System. We reserve the right to not post submitted graphics based on readability or subject appropriateness.

What is the Residence Information System?

The Residence Information System is a digital signage initiative which utilizes a leading software program to broadcast interactive & dynamic content (images and video) via LCD screens/speakers located throughout all 13 residence buildings, which serve as home to approximately 3,600 McMaster Students.

When sharing content for display on our screens, please consider readability in terms of font size and the amount of content on the screen.

RIS Media Requirements:

Please submit a PNG, JPEG or PDF file.

The following are accepted image dimensions:

  • 1067 x 600 pixels
  • 1024 x 768 pixels

Please limit the amount of text contained in these graphics, so that they are readable at a distance.
