Health & Wellness

This community is for students who are passionate about all aspects of health and wellness. From physical activity and nutrition, to mental health and social connectivity – you’ll explore all facets of health and discover what a healthy, balanced lifestyle means to you. As a member of Health & Wellness LLC, you’ll have opportunities to join activities focused on your wellbeing, like intramural sports and running groups, attend practical skills-based workshops, and connect with campus and community experts around healthy living topics and careers in the health field. On top of all of this, you’ll be living and learning with a group of students who share a collective passion for health and wellness.
Students who are a part of the Health & Wellness Learning Community will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in regular physical activity with their community
- Explore career options related to health, well-being, and physical fitness
- Develop habits that encourage a healthy balanced lifestyle in and beyond first-year
Programs & Opportunities
Events for this community include regular opportunities for physical activity that connect to a variety of exercise types, as well as guest speakers, themed workshops, and involvement in research. Health & Wellness residents will be actively encouraged to participate in the academic and social aspects of the university and the surrounding community.
Activities may include tours, social events and volunteer experiences at the university as well as:
- Intramural sports
- Well-being workshops
- Visits from campus dieticians
- Runnings groups
- Mental health programming
- Panel discussions with professionals in the health and wellness field
- Opportunities to learn about and participate in health research
