This community is for students who strive to become better leaders. You will be offered various opportunities to develop strong leadership skills in the areas of communication, teamwork, problem solving, and more. You will explore different models of leadership and will gain an understanding of their effectiveness within different environments. You’ll be connected to many opportunities to stay involved in the McMaster and Hamilton communities throughout first year and the remainder of your university career.

As members of the Leaders & Influencers Living Learning Community, students will have the opportunity to:

• Reflect on what leadership means to them 
• Connect with and learn from leaders in a variety of fields and disciplines 
• Be active leaders in the first-year community and beyond 

Programs & Opportunities

Students in the Leaders & Influencers community will have the opportunity to meet McMaster faculty members and leaders across a variety of disciplines to learn skills essential for future leaders. 

Events in this community include faculty and community expert visits, trending topic panels, skills-based workshops, and service-learning opportunities.

The Leaders and Influencers LLC will help residents get connected to the McMaster community by introducing them to experiences within the campus and Hamilton community. Students will be encouraged to branch out into the community through tours, social events, and volunteer experiences at the university and in the surrounding area.
